WHY WE STARTED
Most setups look the same.
Walk into any gaming forum, scroll the "rate my setup" threads, and you’ll see the same thing on every desk — standard-sized black mouse pads with a corporate logo in the corner. Forgettable. Same brand, same shape, same compromise on the most-touched piece of the entire setup.
We looked at this market and saw an opening. Not for cheaper. Not for louder marketing. For more thoughtful gear that actually reflects who you are.
THE PRODUCT
XL desk mats. Original art. Made to order.
Our mouse pads come in three sizes — 22", 32", and 36" wide. Stitched, fray-resistant edges. A 3mm natural rubber base that doesn’t shift. A smooth micro-weave surface tuned for both laser and optical sensors.
But the size and the materials aren’t really the point. The point is that you should be able to look at your desk and feel something — whatever that something is for you. We make pads with original artwork by independent designers, alongside pieces that celebrate the games, anime, and films that shaped a generation of players.

Design Your Desire was started by a mechanical engineer with two decades of experience designing systems where every component had to last. That same obsession with build quality and details that don’t fail — the kind of thinking that goes into industrial equipment — is what now goes into every mouse pad we ship.
The brand is based in Norway, runs lean, and prioritizes small details over loud marketing: stitching that won’t fray after six months, rubber that grips through a six-hour session, artwork that doesn’t fade. Less hype. More care.

THE BUILD PROCESS
No warehouse pile. Every pad assembled when you order.
We don’t hold inventory. When you place an order, your pad enters production within 24 hours and is finished in 2-5 business days. Then it ships — 2-5 days in the US, 5-10 in Europe and Canada, 5-15 for rest of world via USPS or DHL. Each one made for you, not for a stockroom shelf collecting dust until someone decides it’s discounted enough to move.
This is slower than Amazon. We know. We trade speed for two things: less waste — because no overproduction lands in a landfill six months later — and more attention on every piece we ship. If you want something on your desk tomorrow, you’re in the wrong store. If you want something that’s actually yours, made for you, that holds up — welcome.
